Today’s Employee Spotlight is on Shoshana Hereld, our amazing accounting assistant. Read our Q&A with her below.
Where are you from?
I’m from Connecticut, but I live in Oaxaca, Mexico.
How long have you worked at Synterex?
Since February 2023.
What is your favorite thing about the company?
My coworkers. They’re an amazing group of smart, talented, and kind people.
How did you end up in the world of medical writing?
By accident. My background is in ancient Mediterranean archaeology, but through a happy coincidence, I found myself here!
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Again, the people I work with. It’s great to be part of this team!
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
Being able to speak a second language (and one day do it fluently!). It’s taken years of practice to feel comfortable in Spanish, but it’s so worth the effort.
What are some of the hobbies/interests you’re most passionate about?
I love making art of all kinds, and I’m currently working on writing and illustrating a series of children’s picture books about ancient history. And if I’m not working indoors, I love hiking and exploring the natural world.
