Today’s Employee Spotlight is on Kelsea Medeiros, one of our talented medical writing operations associates. Read our Q&A with her below.
Where are you from?
I grew up in New Hampshire, and I am now living in the Greater Boston area.
How long have you worked at Synterex?
I have been with Synterex since May 2022.
What is your favorite thing about the company?
I enjoy being able to work from home in a quiet, comfortable space, and also appreciate how everyone helps each other. Even though we aren’t in the same office, we all collaborate with each other, and are always willing to share knowledge or offer support where we can.
How did you end up in the world of medical writing?
I graduated veterinary school and worked in clinical practice for a few years but was much more interested in research and other non-clinical aspects of medicine. I saw the job posting for Synterex and decided I wanted to be more involved in helping get new drugs and technologies out to people. I am so glad to have joined the team and absolutely love what I do.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I am always learning new things and I enjoy being able to support the advancement of science and medicine.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
I have several things I am proud of, both personally and professionally, but I would say that anytime I complete a project I feel a sense of accomplishment. Knowing that the drug I helped write about may soon help people is a wonderful feeling and makes me proud of the work I do.
What are some of the hobbies/interests you’re most passionate about?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our cats, and our family and friends. I also love good food and playing board games and video games!
