Synterex Internship Opportunities

Synterex is proud to partner with the Massachusetts Life Science Center's Internship Challenge program for college students.

This program provides up to 4 sponsored full-time internship positions for Massachusetts residents who are students at accredited colleges or universities located in Massachusetts or at Historically Black Colleges or Universities (HBCUs). Each internship position runs for the equivalent of 12 weeks of full-time work (40 hours per week).  Alternatively, a part-time, longer-duration internship schedule can be negotiated (not to exceed the equivalent of 12 weeks of full-time work).

Internships are available in medical writing, publishing, and information technology services.

Our ideal candidate would have a background in the life sciences or information technology with a strong sense of curiosity and the ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment. We strive to involve our interns in all aspects of the business.

Our medical writing and publishing interns will gain exposure to:

  • Pharmaceutical research in many stages of development
  • A broad variety of document types from formal communications with global regulatory authorities, informed consent forms for patients, manuscripts for scientific publications, and blog-style articles for the general public
  • Practicing professional communication with large virtual teams and how to manage meeting time efficiently
  • Framing medical communications for the appropriate audience
  • Project management and the operations side of the business
  • Software systems for professional publishing and medical writing

Our information technology interns will gain exposure to:

  • Framing medical communications for the appropriate audience
  • Project management and the operations side of the business
  • Software systems for professional publishing and medical writing
  • Onboarding and offboarding technologies
  • Automation and scripting to deliver IT service management orchestration

Each intern will be paired with a staff mentor to help navigate the internship experience and ensure they have the resources they need to achieve their learning goals. Synterex is a fully remote workplace. Laptops can be provided to interns if needed.
